Mr. Salayandia is a corporate attorney in Mexican law, with more than nineteen years of experience, providing legal assistance to all kinds of Mexican and foreign companies and institutions, transacting business in Mexico.

He has coordinated, negotiated, and closed major multimillion-dollar international transactions and operations, including drafting of the required agreements and documents drafting the Agreements for such transactions in both English and Spanish. Developed and implemented corporate legal strategies to reduce costs. Regularly assists multinational companies in designing and implementing their customs and foreign trade business structures in Mexico.

He Provides legal counseling to companies in all aspects of Mexican corporate and business law, such as mergers and acquisitions, banking, real estate, labor and employment, tax, company liquidation, international trade, Maquiladora (IMMEX) programs and agreements, customs, international trade, corporate governance, compliance and reorganization procedures, contract drafting and structuring of transactions, and in general assist companies, organizations, banks and institutions in all their legal affairs in Mexico.

Participate as lead corporate counsel coordinating attorneys in different areas of expertise, as well as consultants in several aspects of a major corporate reorganization of a manufacturing company of the automotive sector, including negotiation and drafting of legal documents and the results of the required due diligence and the taxes involved therein.

Leonardo Salayandia worked as in-house (Secondment) of Clarios (formerly Johson Controls Power Solutions) negotiating all contracts and required permits for the day-to-day business operation, including real estate, transportation agreements, supply agreements and in general all required agreements.
